3-4 Years

Angie Brew-Glissmann

Assitant Director

I am excited to be teaching the 3/4s class. I started working at Loveland Preschool in October 2021. Prior to that, I worked for 4 years as a teacher’s aide at Lakewood United Methodist Preschool (LUMP) in Lakewood, CO. LUMP is a play-based preschool where parents also volunteer in the classroom daily. My own kids went to Steele Cooperative Preschool in Denver, and I served on the board and as the tour manager there. I am very familiar with the play-based, cooperative style of preschool from both a parent and a teacher perspective and I love how it involves parents in their kids’ preschool experience. I live in Fort Collins (where I grew up) with my husband, Matt; my children Dylan and Maia; and our dogs Autumn & Baxter. I like to read, craft, camp, play outdoors, and spend time with my friends and family.

Heidi Harris

I’m Miss Heidi. I’m the teacher’s aide in the 3/4 class.  I was born and raised in Colorado. I have 4 children that have attended LPS. This is my third year working at this wonderful school.  It is so fun being able to be a part of your children’s experience here.  Looking forward to another great year of preschool.

Class Options:

Our 3/4 year old classroom offers endless opportunities for children to meet success every day. We provide an inviting environment that fosters self-esteem. Age-appropriate materials support the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Circle time with music, dramatic play, art, building blocks, fine motor manipulatives, and science/sensory areas help children attain reading readiness, early language skills and an awareness of math concepts. We are striving for name recognition in addition to strengthening the cognitive milestones of naming and sorting colors, shapes and letters. Outdoor, gross motor play provides fun and positive social interactions. Our goal is to help children become self-confident and independent learners. Enrollment is capped at 16 students.  With four adults in the class every day, the student to adult ratio is always in great shape.

Students must be age 3 by October 1st in order to be enrolled in the 3’s and 4’s class.  Potty training is required for this class unlike the 2’s and 3’s class that we offer.  You can be assured that students feel comfortable growing into the 4-5’s class.

Classroom Facilities

The 3’s and 4’s classroom is set up to make sure that every student has a chance to play and learn.  The room is quite large allowing for many different types of guided play.  The large sink is a great place to help clean up spills and messes so that kids can continue having a great time together.  Manipulatives and toys abound in many different forms in the 3’s and 4’s room.
