Meet Our Teachers

Kristin Pankau

My name is Miss Kristin and I teach the 2/3’s playgroup classes. I have been teaching at Loveland Preschool since 2008 and took on the roll as school director in 2014. I am a native of Colorado. I grew up in Littleton and Lakewood. I have lived in Loveland since 2003. I attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences and Elementary Education. I am married and I have two sons, Jamie and Josh, who are both alumni of Loveland Preschool. I enjoy watching my two sons play lacrosse, basketball and soccer.

Meghan Spina

My name is Meghan Spina and I am excited to be a part of Loveland Preschool! My family and I relocated to Windsor in August 2013 from Illinois due to my husband Justin’s job. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. I taught for 4 years in Streamwood, Illinois until we had our children. Once our children arrived, I became a stay at home mom. We have 3 children, Dominic (11), Genevieve (9), and Nathan (6). We also have 2 dogs named Carbon and Chief. When we were in Illinois, all of my children attended Mundelein Cooperative Preschool. I love the cooperative philosophy and am glad to have parents who also believe in it. I have a passion for teaching and I am always looking for exciting and educational activities to engage my students.

Angie Sorrow

My name is Miss Angie. I am a wife, mother and new preschool teacher. I was licensed to teach elementary education and spent several years in the Colorado public school system. I was fortunate to become a stay-at-home mom of four incredible daughters. I’m thrilled to teach preschool. I believe that education is truly hands on and I love play based curriculums. Learning activities should be designed for children to engage in independently, in addition to meeting a child’s ability, wherever that may be.

Classroom Facilities

Each class has it’s own space which allows for creative play within an age appropriate environment.  With only two classes ever utilizing the space, your child is able to have a home base where they can be comfortable and consistent.

Every classroom has a sink for hand washing and to help keep the surfaces clean for everyone to use.  You can be sure that your child will be kept as safe from germs as possible.

The classroom for the 2’s and 3’s is fully equipped with a child-sized restroom facility to help with learning to use the bathroom on time!

Indoor Play Areas

Every class at Loveland Preschool is taught using a play-based curriculum.  This means that the indoor play areas are abundant.  From dress up to kitchens, manipulatives to sensory tables, you can be sure that your child’s classroom will be set up to meet their creative needs.

Further, each class uses weekly or monthly themes to help in keeping new play opportunities at the forefront.  Perhaps the sensory table this week will contain gold doubloons because we are learning about pirates, and next week it may be filled with snow because we are learning about how water can exist as ice!

Outdoor Play Areas

Loveland Preschool students enjoy daily access to outdoor playscapes with soft, sandy surfaces to keep the “owies” away.

With two separate outdoor play areas, students are able to stay with similarly aged children and the preschool is able to keep the 2’s and 3’s as safe as possible.

Living in Northern Colorado, the weather will sometimes put a damper on the playground.  Fortunately, for these days, the “wiggles” leave our students through playing in the gymnasium found just down the hall from our classrooms.

We try to play outside, even in the winter, but it’s nice to know that there are other options when it comes to staying busy even in inclement weather.

What The Parents Say

LPS has been a great school for our kids for 5 years. They both have grown so much in their time there.

–Parent from the 2014 annual survey

I’ve been very happy with how the school has treated my kids.  My third child will attend LPS this year and I have no worries at all.

–Chad H

Love Ms. Kristen and always love the creative art projects my child brings home. :)

Our Classes

Preschool can be a difficult time for parents and students.  At Loveland Preschool, we do our best to create a comfortable environment where parents can watch their students thrive.

We offer three different age grouped classes.

  • 2’s and 3’s
  • 3’s and 4’s
  • 4’s and 5’s

Each of these classes is offered in a choice of either,

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • Tuesday, Thursday

2’s and 3’s Room

A place where the littles can go to learn to play with others, cooperate, follow instructions, and prepare for the 3’s and 4’s room.

3’s and 4’s Room

The room that nurtures amazing amounts of growth in students. Watch students go from small kids to big kids in the 3’s and 4’s room.

4’s and 5’s Room

Also known as Pre-K, the 4’s and 5’s room readies children for the move into Kindergarten through play, instruction, and learning.

Your Children

Your children have a safe, and fun place to go in Loveland Preschool.  Every day when children walk through our doors, they are greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

  • CPR certified teachers
  • Individualized attention
  • Excellent adult to student ratio
  • Parent board

Loveland Preschool is maintained with safety in mind.  Cabinets are strapped to the walls, and equipment is discarded when it has reached the end of it’s useful life.

Our teachers are all CPR certified and trained in basic first aid.  They have also met requirements for distributing medicine if needed for your child.

Loveland Preschool teachers work hard to ensure that your child has a fun and challenging environment to keep them pleased during the day.  Discipline is typically found in the form of re-direction and good manners are always encouraged.

Your child will have many toys, manipulatives, and activities to keep them engaged and active in their learning.

We will not make your child fill out a worksheet demanding they write the letter P 50 times.  Their education is found within guided play and the integration of manipulatives.  Individualized education occurs in the form of projects and one on one time with the teacher.

Make no mistake, your child will be learning a lot during their time at Loveland Preschool.

Your children’s education, safety, and well-being are our main priorities.
